About
An edible berry that grows in clusters on small shrubs or climbing vines in temperate zones throughout the world. In general, grapes are smooth-skinned and juicy; seeded or seedless; divided into color categories of white (ranging from pale yellow-green to light green) or black (ranging from light red to purple-black)

Varieties
The Whites
Perlette - round and frosty light green in tight clusters; crunchy-crisp and sweet.
Thompson - medium to large, oblong, light green grapes; sweet, refreshing, cool taste.
Calmeria - elongated, pale green grapes; sweet, mild taste.
Almeria - large oval berries with firm flesh and mild flavor.

The Blacks
Flame - red, round grapes that are slightly tart, with a crisp texture.
Ribier - these jet black round grapes come in medium to large clusters that spread out from the top.
Ruby - dark red, oval berries; sweet flavor; long, loose clusters.
Exotic - large, round black grapes with crisp, yet subtle taste.
Slip-skins - concords are one of several varieties with a slip skin. If you hold one of these grapes between your thumb and forefinger, you can pop or slip off the skin of the grape.

Mostly year-round, depending on variety.
